We were brought in to create the introduction video for Tamerlan Akhmadov, a young rising MMA fighter ahead of his bout under FCR (Full Contact Rumble) in Sweden.
Background
Tamerlan Akhmadov is a young MMA fighter on the rise on the international scene. He came to us because he wanted to be seen as a serious player going into his next fight. He didn't need a standard fighter portrait. He needed a professional introduction video that matched his ambitions.
The Promo
A quiet but intense introduction that lets the training and the fighter speak for themselves. Editing, lighting and sound design are built around Tamerlan's own request for a completely music-free production.

We conveyed Tamerlan's dedication and focus without resorting to clichés. We let the sound of training, breath and movement carry the film. It feels real because it is real.

How we worked
We took full ownership of the production. We wrote the script, filmed at his own training space and at outdoor locations, and edited everything ourselves.
The key creative call
Tamerlan didn't want any music in the video. Not even as background. Most agencies would have tried to talk him out of it, because music is the easiest tool to build mood. We did the opposite. We took his idea and built the production around it. Breath, footsteps on the mat, gloves hitting pads. The result is a video that feels real because it isn't hiding behind a soundtrack.
The result
When the card was announced his fight became one of the most anticipated of the entire event. He went in as the heavy favorite and won in style. Just as important: he has already reached out to continue the collaboration with more videos and photoshoots ahead of upcoming fights.
